The "Traditional Games Truck" brought games of the past to students in Düzce.

The 45th "Traditional Games Truck" event, organized by the Turkish Traditional Sports Federation to keep the traditional game culture inherited from our ancestors alive, was held in Düzce.

🔹 AA Live for instant developmentsStudents who participated in the event organized in the pool square where the Governor's Office is located, under the leadership of the Düzce Governorship and in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, the Provincial Directorate of National Education and the Provincial Special Administration, discovered traditional games such as mas wrestling, twelve stones, tug of war and spinning.
Gülyeter Yaşar, the Traditional Games Truck Event Field Coordinator for the Turkish Traditional Sports Federation, told an AA reporter that they set out with the traditional games festival held in Ankara on May 2nd. "We first demonstrated our activities by visiting 10 provinces affected by the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş with our traditional games truck," she said. "As our Federation President Abdulhadi Turus said, we aim to deliver a truckload of happiness to all 81 of our provinces. And while doing so, we want to keep these games, which are part of our cultural heritage, alive and pass them on to future generations."
Yaşar explained that the events offer individuals of all ages the opportunity to experience many traditional games, including the federation's branches of mas wrestling, mangala, twelve stones, and tug-of-war. He said, "Here, we have a digitally-free environment where adults connect with the past and children can play the games their parents played in the past. Today, we're in Düzce. Düzce is our 45th city. We've touched the hearts of hundreds of thousands of people."
The Traditional Games Truck will meet with citizens in Sakarya on October 21, Kocaeli on October 22, Yalova on October 23, Bursa on October 24, Kütahya on October 27, Uşak on October 28, Denizli on October 29, Burdur on October 30, Isparta on October 31, Konya on November 3, Karaman on November 4, Niğde on November 5, and Aksaray on November 6.
